Company History and Heritage.
Rockingham Lift was
started as a subsidiary of Brentwood Surplus Sales (www.brentsurplus.com)
in 1998. Having served the greater Boston and southern New
Hampshire area for 10 years buying and selling pallet
racking, shelving and surplus material handling equipment,
Mr. Greg Lambert discovered that buying and selling
mechanized material handling items was becoming a business
all in its own right.
Having a knowledgeable and helpful staff was paramount to the company's success, and through previous dealing he had met Mr. Bodo Wallem. Bodo had been working in the Boston area for years in the automotive industry in various roles. From mechanic to service department manager, he had passed through the ranks and seen it all. With a get it done attitude he was a perfect compliment to Mr. Lambert's style. As the opportunity arose to purchase equipment, the two men consulted and cajoled each other in and out of a few deals, always with an eye to improving and servicing each piece of equipment that they purchased. Rather than selling someone into a lift they had in stock, and the client maybe did not need, their preference was buying with an eye to fill a particular customers need. The relationship soon moved from employer/employee to partners on occasion and over time to a true partnership. Having two fully fledged businesses and being in the midst of building a brand new 20,000sq ft. facility, Mr. Lambert felt it was the perfect opportunity to step away and concentrate on the original and main part of his portfolio. Selling his interest in Rockingham Lift on July 2004, Mr. Wallem has been the sole owner ever since. Bringing his own unique style to bear, Mr. Wallem has an extensive sample of lifts to choose from..more to come |
